A 35-year-old McLeansboro man has been charged with aggravated driving under the influence of alcohol and reckless homicide in connection with a fatal May 24th crash involving a side-by-side near Keenes in northwest Wayne County.
Johnny Green was traveling westbound on County Road 70 North and ran off the south edge of the roadway and rolled over. During the rollover, the front-seat passenger was ejected from the vehicle and was pronounced dead on the scene.
The crash was investigated by ISP Troop 9 with assistance from ISP Division of Criminal Investigation Zone 8.
The Wayne County State’s Attorney charged Green on Wednesday. At last word, he was being held at the Wayne County Jail.
