Karen Ann Snyder, age 67, of Centralia, Illinois, passed away peacefully on Monday, May 19, 2025, at her sister’s home in Sandoval.
Per Karen’s wishes, no services will be held. Cremation rites will be accorded, and entombment will follow at a later date at Hillcrest Memorial Park in Centralia. Karen was born on March 28, 1958, in Aurora, Illinois, the daughter of Eugene and Eileen (Barton) Wyman. She would later marry Jack Snyder, and he preceded her in death. Karen worked for several years and later retired from SSM Health St. Mary’s Hospital in Centralia. She enjoyed playing cards, shopping for purses, and spending quality time with her beloved dog, Riley.
Karen is survived by her son, Kyle of Glen Carbon, Illinois; her parents: Gene and Judy Wyman of Kell, Illinois; sisters: Patricia (Jim) White of Sandoval, Rachael Arnold of Festus, Missouri, Brandi (Bill) Starnes of Salem, Illinois; brothers: Kelly (Jen) Wyman of Centralia, Brett (Sheila) Stanford of Salem, Illinois; several nieces and nephews, and special friends: Debbie and Vicky.
Karen was preceded in death by her mother, Eileen White, her husband, Jack Snyder, and sisters: Susan Beard and Julie Mulvaney.
