The 17th Annual Memorial Celebration Service is set for 10:30 Saturday morning at the Pittenger War Monument in the center of Elmwood Cemetery in Centralia.
The guest speaker will be Commander, Retired US Navy Bill Adams.
The program will also include the VFW and American Legion Color Guard, the Pledge of Allegiance by Boy Scouts Troop #260, music by Morgan Isaiah, and the Placing of the Wreaths by Centralia Mayor Bryan Kuder, Wamac Mayor Jackie ‘Butch’ Mathus, and Central City Mayor Neely Reed. The program will end with the Three Volleys Salute by the Color Guard followed by the playing of TAPS.
The annual event is hosted by the Centralia Cemetery Advisory Board and the Veterans’ Affairs Committee.
