Congratulations to the Centralia Orphans Tennis Team for winning the Carbondale Sectional over the weekend with 31 points. Easily distancing 2nd place Herrin with 18 and Marion was 3rd with 17.
Qualifying in singles for Centralia Gustavo Kieling was 1st overall and Thomas Ha 4th. In doubles moving on were Reed Ashford and Peyton Cole who was 2nd and Ryder Kroger and Logan Meier was 3rd.
It’s the first time all players qualified for state for Centralia since 1986.
