Centralia Police have arrested a 13-year-old Centralia juvenile boy for aggravated battery in a public place in connection with a Friday night street fight.
Police say the 13-year-old Centralia girl who was injured in the altercation at Saddler and Franklin Streets was taken to SSM Health St. Mary’s Hospital in Centralia for treatment.
Police estimate between 15 and 20 were involved in the incident. They believe it started among kids, with some parents later joining in.
The 13-year-old boy had been developed as a suspect over the weekend and was arrested when arriving at school Monday morning.
There have been no reports of weapons being involved. The fight was first reported at 9:38 Friday evening.
Meanwhile, police say three separate unsubstantiated reports of shots fired Friday night and Saturday morning are not related to the fight.
