The IHSA Girls State Track Meet is underway on the campus of Eastern Illinois University. In the 2a meet, Salem will be represented by Hannah Smith in the discus and Finley Puricelli in the 400m.
Also competing will be the Annies 4×100 relay team of Sha’Mary Maines-May, A’dariyah Dabney, Jenna Wagner, and Zaria Strowder.
Also Melaina Zedalis of Mount Vernon will compete in the long jump. Kamaree Pollard will compete in the triple jump and 200m. The Lady Rams will also have their 4×200 and 4×400 teams running.
In 1a competing is Rayna Perrsinger of North Clay in the long jump and 400m. Vandalia’s Hannah Brown will throw the shot and Sophie Bowers will run the 100m.
