Salem Police say a 34-year-old Marion man was arrested for driving under the influence after striking a rail on the side of a loading dock at North American Lighting on West Main and had his car come to a stop with the front wheels up in the air over the dock.
Initial reports do not indicate how Michael Morales ended up in the North American Lighting parking lot. The car became stuck in the partially airborne position and had to be removed by a tow company.
He was released on a notice to appear in court for alleged driving under the influence and driving on a suspended license.
Morales told police he was on his way home from a Coles County Court appearance where he is currently on probation for DUI.
The incident was reported to Salem Police late Tuesday afternoon.
