Today the Salem Wildcats track team will head to the Rantoul 2a Sectionals to compete for a trip to the IHSA State Meet. Salem will join other teams in a loaded field that will also include Effingham, Olney, Patoka among other teams from the central part of the state. The Field Events begin at 2:30 with the running to start at 4.
The 2a Mascoutah Sectional starts at 1 with the Field Events and 2:30 with Running Events. That field includes Centralia, Columbia, Freeburg, Mount Vernon.
The 1a Newton Sectional gets underway today at 4pm with the Field events followed by the 5:15 running events. That field includes Altamont, St Anthony, Flora, North Clay, TTown and Vandalia.
