A 65-year-old Centralia man was charged in Marion County Court Monday with aggravated battery after allegedly punching another man in the face through a car window in the Centralia McDonald’s Restaurant drive-through.
Joel Firebaugh of South Poplar had left the scene prior to the arrival of police. He was taken into custody later without incident when located near the Centralia Library.
The alleged victim did not require medical treatment.
The incident was reported at 3:30 Sunday afternoon.
During his first appearance in court, Firebaugh had the public defender appointed and a pre-trial release granted. He is due back in Marion County for a preliminary hearing on June 25th.
