Salem Police say two people were injured in a three vehicle crash at West Main and Selmaville Road during the noon hour Saturday.
Police say a pickup driven by 30-year-old Christopher Budds of East 3rd in Kinmundy ran a red light while eastbound on West Main and ran into the driver’s side of a pickup truck crossing US 50 on the Selmaville Road driven by Daniel Qualls of Bryant Street in Salem. The Qualls truck then spun around and hit a third vehicle stopped at the stop light on West Main driven by a 16-year-old female juvenile.
Qualls was trapped in the vehicle until the Salem Fire Protection District could pop open the door. Both Qualls and a passenger in his pickup, 43-year-old Elicia Martinez of Salem, were both transported by United Medical Response to Salem Township Hospital for treatment.
Both Budds and the juvenile driving the third vehicle declined hospital treatment.
Salem Police say tickets are pending.
