Larice Diane Stalls, 64, of Centralia, passed away peacefullyon Thursday, May 1, 2025, at SSM Health Good Samaritan Hospital in Mt. Vernon with her son by her side. She was born on August 12, 1960, in Centralia, the daughter of Girland and Edna Earle (Hicks) Stalls.
Survivors that will remember Larice’s amazing fighting spirit include her devoted son, Vandelin Wallace and wife Lisa; precious grandchildren, Amiah, Maddox, and Maci Wallace; dear brothers, Calvin Stalls and Geoffrey Stalls; kind sister-in-law, Evelyn Stalls; and a host of nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Larice was preceded in death by her parents, Girland and Edna Stalls; sister, Joyce Harris; and brother, Melvin Stalls.
Larice worked as a Head Start teacher at BCMW in Centralia for forty years and retired in 2022. She touched many lives during her forty year career, whether it was in or out of her classroom. Her free time was spent with friends and she was always there to celebrate her grandchildren’s birthdays and Christmases. Larice’s best-loved activities were decorating, using her creative skills, and doing what she loved best—shopping. Larice had a beautiful singing voice and music was an encouragement to her. She truly was always singing, making that joyful noise. Larice had a close relationship with GOD and a big heart to love, serve, and help others. Anywhere that Larice went she would be the center of attention, talking to everyone, and in return everyone would talk to her. She was a wonderful mother, sister, Nana, and aunt. She will dearly be missed by her family.
A celebration of life service will be held at 12:00 p.m. Saturday, May 10, 2025, at City Hope Church in Centralia with Holy Garden Of Prayer Pastor Ted Macon officiating. Interment will follow at Elmwood Cemetery in Centralia. Relatives and friends are welcome to a visitation time from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the service on Saturday at the church.
