A 38-year-old Salem resident was arrested at the Marion County Courthouse on Thursday on a petition to revoke probation. Shannon Hicks of South Pruyn Street was taken to the Marion County Jail.
Centralia Police arrested 28-year-old Jayden Middleton of West Kell Street in Centralia for violation of an order of protection.
Salem Firemen responded to two calls Thursday night. The first call was to a backyard fire at a home at the Starlight Mobile Home Park in the 300 block of East Olive Street. Salem Police requested the department due to no resident being at home and the threat of the fire spreading. There was no damage. Salem Firemen also responded to Kentucky Fried Chicken to an alarm that sounded as a result of a CO2 canister being overfilled. It was disconnected until the problem could be fixed.
