The IHSA Bass Fishing Sectionals were held around the state yesterday. The Salem boats were competing on Newton Lake. The team of Colton Starnes and Cooper Lobek finished 4th, just out of the top 3 who advance to state at Carlyle next weekend. They will be alternates. The other Salem team of Mya Russell and Zane Barthelemy finished 6th.
At Coffeen Lake, Edwardsville, Highland and Bunker Hill advanced. And on Kinkaid Lake, Murphysboro, Trico and Anna will compete at State.
