Yesterday the Salem boys track team competed at Benton. Caleb Smith won the discus and shot. Avery and Payton Gullion along with Madden Thompson all cleared 6-foot in the high jump which qualifies all three for the New Balance Nationals in Philadelphia later this summer. Miking Ettress long jumped 21-6 and the 4×200 team was 2nd in a season best time. Also big shout out to Alex Spencer on breaking the freshman 800m record held by Justin Helpingstine running it in a time of 2:03.0.
