The Salem Lions Club will continue its tradition of hosting Post Prom to give students a safe place to go after Prom ends Friday night.

Tabitha Meador is helping to coordinate the annual event for the Lions.

“Gymnasium  there will be party jumps in the small gym, we will have door prizes set up, food and entertainment.  The Community Center has donated Bingo supplies that went over very well last year.  Our Entertainment Committee has put together several fun events for the kids throughout the night.  We will be at the school from 12-3 a.m. and they have things scheduled for all 3 hours for kids to participate in.”

Meador says it cost about $7,000 to put on the event and they are currently short on funding.

“We are always asking for donations.  That’s what it comes down to.  This is a fully funded event so anything that people can help with like door prizes, coupons, door prize money or anything like that we would appreciate it.”

Meador says donations may be dropped off at Salem City Hall or at the Main Office of Salem Community High School.
