By WJBD Staff Apr 17, 2024 | 8:34 AM

The Sandoval Village board passed an ordinance joining the Illinois Public Works Mutual Aid Network at its regular meeting on Tuesday. Agencies in the mutual aid network agree to provide each other with assistance in cases of disaster. By paying an annual $100 membership fee, Sandoval becomes a part of this network.

The board discussed finding a new location for the police station. The police department is seeking a new location with more space to accommodate its operations. Various options are being considered.

The annual rabies clinic will be held at the Sandoval Village Hall on May 18 from 12:00 to 1:00.  Visitors will be able to get rabies vaccinations for their pets. More information will be posted on Sandoval’s Facebook page.

Trayton Adams was hired for summer help, and Tanner Patterson was hired as an outdoor laborer.

No new action was taken concerning the zoning issues of the old IGA building, old B and D store, or old car lot.

The Village Hall will be closed on Friday, April 19, as the building gets a new generator installed.
