The Salem girls track team held their home meet Tuesday at Jim Finks Field . We honored our only senior Avery Robison, she will be a 4 year varsity letter winner and is this year’s team captain.
Mt. Vernon won the meet followed by Centralia, Marion and Salem. Salem’s top performers were Maci Thorsen winning the 3200, Hannah Smith winning both the shot put and discus, Emily Runyon won the pole vault. Finley Puricelli took second in 400, Ailla Laird second in the 800, Brylee Pennypacker third in the discus. The Lady Cats will compete next Tuesday at Herrin.
