By WJBD Staff Mar 12, 2024 | 7:10 AM

The IHSA is targeting 26-27 school year for full implementation of a 35-second shot clock for basketball in the state.   IHSA Executive Director Kurt Gibson spoke this past weekend at the boys’ state tournament in Champaign.  The IHSA has allowed regular season tournaments and shootouts to use a 35-secodn shot clock experimentally the past 2 seasons.  14 states use a shot clock in high school basketball, including Iowa and Minnesota.
