2025 03/12 – Terry ‘Jerry’ G. Hixenbaugh

Terry “Jerry” G. Hixenbaugh, 73, of Centralia passed away Sunday, March 9, 2025

with his family by his side. He was born March 23. 1951, the son of Raymond and Alma Opal (Friend) Hixenbaugh. He married Donna Harmon, they later divorced. He then married Elizabeth Simpson, and she preceded him in death on October 26, 2018.

Terry is survived by his children, four daughters, Michelle Scarborough, Sharon McCann, Cari Maines, and Susie (Charles) Richards; three sons, Steven Linder Sr., Butch Mathus, and Charlie (Tammy) Mathus; grandchildren, Brittany (Eric) Hodge, Kendra (Blain) Eaker, Leighton (Melanie) Bundy, Stephonta Moore, Aaron Moore, Anthony Linder, Jordan Maines (Taylor), Tashee Maines, Oday’ah Wright, Odell Wright Jr., Shara Maines, Steven (Sarah) Linder Jr., Cheyenne Linder, MacKenzie Linder, Savanna Linder, Nathan Mathus, Nikki Mathus, CJ Rickards, Sierra Rickards, Brad Mathus; twenty-four great-grandchildren; two sisters, Linda and Brenda; brothers, David, Larry, Gary, Mark, Don, Butch, Lonnie; many nieces, nephews, cousins, great friends at Arizona Joe’s and special thank you to a family friend, Hazel Eaker.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Raymond and Alma Opal Hixenbaugh; his wife, Elizabeth Hixenbaugh; many brothers; sons-in-law, Klay Bundy, and Mike Maines.

Terry, in his younger years, drove across the country in an eighteen-wheeler, making countless deliveries for several companies, operating machinery for AC MAN, and he owned and operated T & M Escort until the time of his retirement. He was active in the community and a member of the Centralia Moose Lodge 1219. He loved his animals and to wheel and deal for antiques and collectables, especially anything Coca-Cola. He loved going to sing Karaoke, play Bar Bingo, and chase women. Terry never met a stranger and was well known and loved by many. He will be dearly missed by all who loved him, especially his children and grandchildren.

A celebration of life service will be held at 6:00 p.m. Wednesday, March 12, 2025, at the Irvin Macz Funeral Home in Centralia with family member, Steven Linder officiating. Friends and relatives are welcome to visitation time from 4:00 p.m. until the time of the service on Wednesday at the funeral home in Centralia. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in Terry’s honor to Kendra Eaker to help with funeral expenses.
