Shirley B. Cook, age 78 of Iuka, passed away on Monday, February 3, 2025 at her home in Iuka surrounded by her family.
Shirley was born on September 4, 1946 in Iuka, the daughter of Jesse and Wanda (Payne) Halfacre. She married Jim Cook on May 4, 1979 and he preceded her in death.
Survivors include her children, Tina Willman of Iuka, Scott Keller and wife Regina of Kinmundy, and Marsha Gaston of Iuka; grandchildren, Scotty Keller Jr., Cody Willman and wife McKenzie, Jamie Keller and wife Jenny, Tony Gaston and wife Kaitlyn, Shauna Almaroad and husband Kent, Emily Watson and husband Jamey, Caleb Willman and wife Alyssa, and Caitlyn Weaver; 22 great grandchildren; three great-great grandchildren; brothers, Bobby Halfacre and wife Gloria and Jack Halfacre and wife Linda; sisters, Dixie Slover, Linda Rollinson, and Connie Conrad; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Jim Cook; parents, Jesse and Wanda Halfacre; son-in-law, Chuck Willman; brothers, James, Lee, Glen and Clinton; and sisters, Ruth, Nadine, and MaryAnn.
Shirley attended Grace Church of the Nazarene in Salem. She was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother. She enjoyed fishing, BINGO, and loved spending time with her family.
Celebration of Life services for Shirley Cook will be held at Noon on Thursday, February 6, 2025 at Grace Church of the Nazarene with Doug Romine officiating. A time to visit with family will be held from 10:00 am until the time of the service. Memorials can be made to Mission Salem and can be received at the church or at Crouse Funeral Home in Salem who is assisting the family with arrangements.
