Odin Fire Department announces annual award winners

The Odin Fire Department has handed out its annual awards at its annual awards dinner.

Nicholas Lynch was named firefighter of the year. He is a lieutenant and one of the top on-scene responders. Lynch also serves as Vice President of the Firemen’s Association. He is also constantly working on training and working with new members to get them trained.

The First Responder of the Year is Blake Burton. He has been with the district for several years and always responds to all types of calls. Burton was lauded for having a great sense of patient care and does not hesitate to jump in and help out.

The 2023 Rookie of the Year is Dakota Sloat. He has only been with the district for six months but has quickly become one of the top responders and is always willing to learn and work hard.
