Doug “Floki” Gruen, 50, of Centralia, passed away Friday, January 10, 2025, at Barnes Jewish Hospital in St. Louis, Missouri.

He was born in Jacksonville, Arkansas on November 16, 1974, to Roger Lewis Gruen and Karen Ann (Stokes) Gruen. On May 28, 1996, he married the love of his life, Chrystal Meredith in Salem, IL.

Surviving is his wife of 28 years, Chrystal Gruen of Centralia; his mother, Karen Gruen of Sandoval; sons, Dakota Gruen (Dasani) of Columbia, Illinois and Blaine Gruen of Centralia; daughters, Christine Kniker (Jeremiah) of Centralia, Angela Gruen of Sandoval and Elizabeth Preston (Bryan) of Las Vegas, Nevada; brother, Glenn Gruen (Becky) of Centralia; sister, Lori Gruen of Sandoval; grandchildren, Eli Kniker, Earo Kniker of Centralia, Miles Gruen of Centralia, Holt Kniker of Irvington and soon to be grandson, Asher Gruen; Mother-in-law, Debbie Meredith of Centralia; brothers-in-law, Nick Meredith (Tracy) of Salem and Andy Meredith of Ashley; sister-in-law, Nicole Graham (Roger) of Centralia; several nieces and nephews and special friends and MC brothers, Paul “OffRoad” Havrilka (Melissa) and Matt “TinMan” Allen.

He was preceded in death by his father, Roger Gruen, a daughter, Montana Gruen, and his father-in-law, Kenny Meredith.

Doug was a member of The Rock Church in Centralia and was a founding member of Last Disciples Church and Watchman MC. He loved spending time with the boys in the outdoors, hunting and fishing, and taking care of his farm animals. He liked his cars, trucks, and riding his motorcycle. He enjoyed working out at the gym and being at The Rock Church.

Funeral services for Doug will be held Wednesday, January 22, 2025, at noon at The Rock Church in Centralia with Pastor Steve Upchurch officiating. A visitation will be held from 10 am until the time of services at the church.
