The Salem Lady Cats fell to top-seed Effingham in the Vandalia semifinals 61-39. Emma Gregg had 12 and Kayla Felgenhauer added 11. Salem will play Saturday at 1pm in the 3rd place game while Effingham advances to the 2:30 championship.
Tonight the Salem JV will play Mascoutah at 6pm followed by the other consolation semifinal between Wesclin and Vandalia.
The Sandoval girls will travel to Christ Our Rock.
