A 37-year-old Salem man has been arrested by Centralia Police on new drug charges as well as on an outstanding Marion County traffic warrant. Matthew Nehrt of West Main Street was taken to the Marion County Jail for possession of a controlled substance, possession of a narcotic instrument (hypodermic needle), as well as the warrant which has a bond set at $2,500.
Salem Police arrested 34-year-old Jerrad Simpson of Fairmount Road in Vandalia on an outstanding Fayette County warrant. He was later transferred to the Fayette County Jail at Vandalia.
44-year-old Justin Street of South Hickory in Centralia was arrested on a no-bond Marion County warrant for driving on a suspended license and a Clay County felony warrant with a bond set at $3,000.
