Carolyn Sue Beaver, 78, of Centralia, passed away peacefully on Saturday, December 28th, 2024 at Carlyle Healthcare Center.

She was Born on Wednesday, November 6th, 1946, in Salem, Illinois, the daughter of George W. Ray and Helen M. (Brewer) Ray. She married David R. Beaver on December 17, 1993, in Salem, IL and he preceded her in death on May 26, 2014.

Carolyn is survived by her loving son, Alan Beaver of Centralia; her brother, Joe Ray, and his wife Shelly of Centralia; and her sister, Nancy Tubbs, and her husband Gary, also of Centralia. She will be dearly missed by her nieces and nephew, Candice Bequette and her husband Ben of Scottsdale, AZ; Kristin Pott and her husband Kyle of Glen Carbon; Zachary Tubbs and Ashley Chapman of Centralia; and Emmalee Ray of Centralia. Carolyn also leaves behind two special friends, Kathy and Craig Alcorn of Irvington, who were like family to her.

Carolyn was preceded in death by her father, George W. Ray; her mother, Helen M. Ray; and her devoted husband, David Beaver.

Carolyn was known for being a devoted mother to her son Alan. She enjoyed crosswords, and being home with her family.

Private family services will be held to honor Carolyn’s life and the many ways she touched those around her. Burial will be in Hillcrest Memorial Park in Centralia.
