Ronald Lee Pauley age 70 of Kinmundy, IL passed away peacefully in his home on Monday, December 30, 2024, surrounded by family. He was very loved and had a big heart.
He was born on June 19, 1954, in Salem, the son of Verl Pauley and Dorothy (White) Pauley.
Ron is survived by his children, Tonnie Lee Pauley Sr. and wife Kim Pauley of Mt. Vernon, Jason Pauley and Melissa Skates of Salem, and Krystal Marcum and John Skurat of Centralia; nine grandchildren, Mark and Tanisha, Natasha and Brooks, Tonnie Jr. and Sierra, Trevor, Sierra and Austin, Barbara, Jayla and Maverick, Jaycob, Jayden, and Caitlyn; and many great- grandchildren; brothers, Roger Pauley and wife LaJean of Jonesburg, MO, Kevin Pauley and wife Judy of Salem, and Keith Pauley of Centralia; sisters, Diane Bardle and husband Wayne of Centralia and Vicki Inman of Centralia. He was greatly loved by all.
Ronald was preceded in death by his parents, Verl and Dorothy Pauley; and the love of his life, Marilyn Irene Carter.
Ron was of the Pentecostal faith. He worked 15+ years at Whipps in Salem, IL, and continued on to owning Rons Cycle of Kinmundy IL for many years fixing motorcycles, atvs, and more. His heart was full of nothing but love for riding his motorcycle and hill climbing on his dirt bike. He won many trophies that he treasured at the King City hill climbs. He was known very well for his license plates that read RCycl1. He loved gardening and most of all making memories that will be cherished forever with family. Ron loved telling stories, fishing and most importantly spending time with family. He will greatly be missed by all that knew and loved him.
Funeral Services for Ronald Lee Pauley will be held at 2:00 pm on Friday, January 3, 2025, at Crouse Funeral Home in Salem. Burial will follow at East Lawn Cemetery in Salem. There will be a visitation on Friday at the funeral home from Noon until the time of the service.
