Centralia Police met an Amtrak passenger train early Tuesday morning after Amtrak received a call through a third party that there was a man aboard the train threatening to shoot other passengers.
Police say after stopping the train at 16th and Walnut before the train arrived at the Centralia depot, they found no one matching the description of the man and no reports of any threats to shoot those on board.
Police then allowed the train to proceed.
At this point, police say no determination has been made on who placed the call to Amtrak.
