Marion “Mikki” Clark, born on June 10, 1963, in Sterling, Illinois, passed away peacefully on December 13, 2024, in Kentucky, surrounded by family and close friends. At 61 years young, Mikki lived her life with the kind of energy that could only be matched by a disco ball—bright, flashy, and always keeping the party going.

Mikki was many things—a lifelong DJ known as “DJMIKSMEGAMIX” and “Queen of DJs,” who could make any event feel like a dance floor, a caretaker with a heart of gold who dedicated her life to helping the elderly and those with special needs, and an expert in throwing shade and love in equal measure. Mikki also found joy in strumming her guitar and sharing music with children, using the power of sound as a way to inspire creativity, joy, and connection.

Mikki is survived by her two sons: Brandon Clark and his wife Janelle of Centralia, Illinois, and Shaun Berry and his wife Donna. She was also the proud grandmother of thirteen grandkids who were undoubtedly spoiled rotten, because that’s what grandmas do best.

Mikki’s family extends beyond her children, as she is also survived by her siblings: Cherri Clark and her husband Howard of Abilene, Texas; Spanki Clark and her husband Drew of Wickenburg, Arizona; Wesley “Skip” Clark and his wife Alex of Navarre, Florida; Michael Clark and his wife Melissa of Centralia, Illinois; and Josh Clark and his wife Kelsey of Centralia, Illinois.

She was preceded in death by her father, Orville “Hop” Clark, of Centralia, Illinois; her mother, Cheryl Swan, of Elizabethton, Tennessee; and her sister, Kassandra “KJ” Clark, of Centralia, Illinois, who Mikki still swears is living it up in the afterlife, probably winning the “Best Sister Ever” award.

Mikki’s life was also full of amazing friendships with Diana and Mik Baerg of Columbia, Kentucky, and Patti Hutton of Centralia, Illinois, who were lucky enough to experience Mikki’s unique blend of tough love, humor, and her inability to stop talking.

She also shared a deep and everlasting bond with her life partner, Mable Grayling, who she now joins in heaven. Their relationship was an example of what it means to live in harmony, both supporting each other in their dreams and challenges. They are probably still debating whether they should have gotten matching tattoos.

Mikki’s love for her nieces, nephews, and cousins was boundless. She cherished every opportunity to share laughs, create memories, and offer words of encouragement that made each of them feel special. Her warmth and humor will continue to resonate through their stories and the bonds she helped create.

Mikki will forever be remembered for her quick wit, love for her family, and her ability to keep everyone laughing. Her passions for music, caregiving, and turning every moment into an adventure will live on in the hearts of all who were lucky enough to know her.

A celebration of Mikki’s life will be held at a later date, where friends and family will gather to share stories, laugh at her expense, and honor a woman who truly made life a little brighter and a lot more entertaining.
