Marion County Sheriff Kevin Cripps has named Jail Investigator Kyle Monical of Omega as the department’s Employee of the Year.
The announcement came at the department’s annual Christmas party over the weekend.
“He never turns anything down. He always has a smile on his face. I think he has filled the investigator roll at the jail very well. When I asked for nominations, I got 6 nominations and 5 out of the 6 had Kyle’s name on it. So I can’t think of anyone who deserves the Officer of the Year Award than Kyle Monical.”
Monical has worked at the sheriff’s department in the corrections department for nine and a half years and was named to the newly created Investigator for the corrections part of the jail about a year ago. Monical says he enjoys the new position in which he investigates fights and other activities that occur within the jail.
