The Salem Fresh/Soph teams opened their seasons last night in Vandalia. The sophomores came away with a 59-24 victory. Trey Clark scored 16, Eli Baker 14 and Eli LoGrasso 10. Carter Lowe added 6. Also scoring for the sophomores were Avery Gullion with 4 along with Kaeden Bevolo and Cory Keele added 3.
The freshmen lost 67-49. Marquis Ettress led Salem with 10; Avery Gullion added 8 with 6 each from Payton Gullion and Kaeden Miraglia. Also scoring for Salem, 4 points from Jaret Gibson, 3 each from TJ Taylor, Landen Maxey and Keytin Grawe. Madden Thompson and Riley Tate had 2 each.
