A 28-year-old Centralia man has been sentenced to 94 months in prison on three federal indictments filed against him.

Matthew ‘Mattie’ Woods received the time for possession of stolen mail, bank fraud and aggravated identity theft.  He admitted in April to taking mail, including personal checks, from a mailbox at a home on Nation Road in rural Salem.  Woods is then accused of working with others to devise and execute a scheme to take money from two area banks.  Woods was also indicted for using checking account information in the commission of a felony violation.

Woods will serve the time concurrently with another federal sentence for possession of stolen firearms.
