Salem Lady Cats bowled at the Triad Invitational to open their year this weekend.
They finished 7th overall. Collinsville won the event with Belleville East and O’Fallon following Freeburg was 6th, Columbia 8th, Mt Vernon 12th. Salem’s Elena Vanhoutin had the 4th high game of the tournament with her 253 on her way to an 1115 finish. Jaeda Rollinson finished with a 1072 and a high game of 224. Olivia Paulson shot 1052 with a 211 high game. Willow Amburgey shot 641, Madison Keller 480, Ava Birch 467 and Mallory Hopkins 294.
Individually, Vanhoutin was 10th, Rollinson 18th and Paulson 23rd. Emma Matsantonis of Columbia was the individual champion with Belleville East’s Olivia Hemmerle 2nd and Amber Montante of O’Fallon 3rd.
