Most government offices are closed for the Thanksgiving Holiday both Thursday and Friday.
That includes Salem and Centralia City Halls. Thursday’s garbage pickup in Salem will be delayed until Friday. In Centralia, Thursday pickup is delayed until Friday and Friday pick up until Saturday. In Salem, landscape waste normally picked up on Thursday was picked up a day early and the leaf vacuum will not run again until Monday. In Centralia, the leaf vacuum will run on Friday and on Saturday if necessary.
Area courthouses are also closed on Thursday and Friday.
There will be no home mail delivery on Thursday, but delivery will resume on Friday and Saturday. Financial institutions are also closed on Thursday but will follow regular hours on Friday and Saturday.
