Two Flora women were formally charged in Marion County Court on Friday with three Class X felony drug charges.
20-year-old Brooklyn Rueger and 32-year-old Brittani Rueger of West 8th Street were both ordered detained without bond by Judge Mark Stedelin during their first court appearance.
The two are charged with Class X offenses of methamphetamine trafficking, meth delivery of 100 to 400 grams, and possession of 100 to 400 grams of meth. They were also charged with a Class Four felony of possession of a controlled substance.
Judge Stedelin appointed public defenders to represent the two after finding probable cause on the charges. Brooklyn Rueger is due back in court on December 12th for a preliminary hearing. Brittani Rueger had a preliminary hearing set for December 7th.
Central City Police say after a piece of ice methamphetamine was seen on the floorboard of the car, both were ordered to exit. A search that followed allegedly turned up over 200 grams of methamphetamine and 50 pills of suspected fentanyl.
