On Tuesday, November 14th, twenty-five new members were inducted into the Salem Community High School chapter of the National Honor Society. Students were selected for membership based on the four National Honor Society pillars of scholarship, leadership, service, and character. The new members consisted of three seniors and twenty-two juniors. Joining the nineteen seniors who were inducted last year as juniors, the membership now stands at forty-four members. The ceremony was led by president Marley Donoho with assistance from vice-president Taylor Ice, secretary Jillian Green, treasurer Rachel Donoho, and speaker-at-large Jackson Jarrett. Throughout the school year, NHS members complete service projects in the high school and the community. Upcoming projects include assisting with shopping for the BCMW Adopt-a-Family program, Christmas cards for area care facilities, and the Winter Fun Fest on January 7th.
