The Salem Lady Wildcats are back in action tonight at the DuQuoin Tip Off Tournament with a trip to the finals on the line. They have started out 2-0 in tournament play and have forced 69 turnovers in those games. It will not be that easy tonight, as they take on 2-0 Pinckneyville. I’ll have the play by play starting at 6pm on 100.1 FM and streaming at WJBDradio.com.
Last night at the Centralia Tournament, Mater Dei opened the night dominating Teutopolis 54-21 and in the night cap, Centralia and new coach Chad Courson won their opener as the Annies beat Highland 43-38.
South Central won their NTC home game over North Clay 63-54 in overtime. The game was tied at 51 after regulation. Taegan Webster scored 6 of her 23 in the extra frame, Kaitlyn Swift added 18, Lauren Johnson 13. Miah Ballard led North Clay with 20 and Matia Price added 10.
Also last night, Altamont beat Windsor 61-45, Brownstown over Litchfield 55-25, St Anthony beat Sandoval 82-29, Flora lost to Fairfield 54-27, Marion lost to Massac County 48-38, O’Fallon over Althoff 62-19.
