Carolyn Sue Ferrero, age 81 of Salem, passed away on Saturday, November 9, 2024 at Helia Healthcare of Salem.
Carolyn was born on June 6, 1943 in Mishawaka, Indiana, the eldest daughter of Kenneth and Helen (Moore) Farthing. She married Michael Ferrero in August of 1975 and they would later divorce.
She is survived by her two children, Kathy Ice and husband Kylon of Salem, and Anthony Ferrero of Belleville; grandchildren, Abby Ice, Ashley Webb, Lucas Ferrero, Nathan Ferrero, and Amariana Ferrero.
Carolyn is preceded in death by her parents, Kenneth and Helen Farthing, her daughter, Dawn Marie Ferrero; and her sister, Linda Kipple
Carolyn started her career working for the Indiana Department of Human Services. She would later go on to work at Sam’s Club, Goldblatts Department Store, and F.W. Means and Company all in Indiana.
Carolyn was of the Christian faith. She was an incredible mother who loved her children with unwavering devotion. She was warm, intelligent, and loved to laugh and joke with people. In her downtime, she enjoyed reading.
Graveside services for Carolyn Sue Ferrero will be held on Saturday, November 16, 2024, at 2:00 pm at Peaceful Valley Cemetery in Odin with Trent Ice officiating. Crouse Funeral Home in Salem is assisting the family with arrangements. In Carolyn’s memory, the family asks that instead of donations, you can plant a tree in her memory.
