The Salem Wildcat bowling team finished 2nd at the Collinsville Tournament over the weekend with stellar competition including last year’s top 3 teams in the state.
The tournament started off great for Cats junior Silas Moats who bowled a perfect 300 on his way to a 2nd place overall finish just 6 pins behind the winner. Rhett Detering was 5th overall and had a high game of 279.
All five of the Cats had their moments as Ryan Detering bowled great, especially in the afternoon session with high games of 242, 238 and 220. Keaton Gullion had a come out tournament with games of 237, 235 and 234 and Dominick Winkeler also had a great day with high games of 233, 229, 217.
The JV also competed. Jarrett Rushing had a high game of 237. Isaiah Poole shot a 208 high game, Evan Gelsinger 187, Kellen Bolen 183 and Hayden Williams 91.
