A 34-year-old Salem woman has pleaded guilty in Marion County Court to a reduced charge of felony criminal trespass with a resident present.
Christy Johnston of North College Street was placed on two years probation, ordered to undergo a mental health evaluation, pay a $200 public defender fee, and a $600 probation fee. She is also prohibited from having contact with the victim.
Johnston had originally been charged with home invasion for allegedly entering a dwelling place in the 1700 block of East Main while armed with a baseball bat in January 2020.
Johnston also entered a guilty plea to an unrelated misdemeanor battery case and was fined costs only. She admitted to striking a woman in the back of the head in an incident in July of this year.
