Police Beat for Monday, November 6th, 2023

Salem Police arrested a 42-year-old Salem woman for aggravated battery to a nurse. Kisha Hopkins of South Lincoln had earlier been brought to the emergency room for treatment when she allegedly became argumentative and tried to move to other treatment rooms. When nurses were trying to confine her to the one room she is accused of scratching and pinching them leading to the arrest. Hopkins was taken to the Marion County Jail to await a decision on formal charges.

Centralia Police have added drug offenses to their earlier arrest of 23-year-old Dylan Foutch of East Olive in Salem on an outstanding Illinois Department of Corrections warrant. The new arrests are for alleged possession with intent to deliver methamphetamine, obstructing justice, and possession of between 15 and 100 grams of methamphetamine.

Centralia Police arrested 22-year-old Robert Gott Junior of North Rhodes Street in Centralia on a Perry County failure to appear or pay warrant for illegal consumption of liquor by a minor and driving on a suspended license. He remains in custody on a no bond warrant.

The Marion County Sheriff’s Department is investigating the theft of a trail cam and ground blind platform from a hunting ground on the Hoots Chapel Road in rural Odin.
