The Marion County Sheriff’s Department reports a 17-year-old Centralia juvenile male was injured in a single-vehicle crash Saturday night in the 400 block of Walnut Hill Road.
The juvenile told deputies the last thing he remembers is turning eastbound onto Walnut Hill Road before ending up in the roadside ditch and coming to rest against a shed. Centralia Fire Protection District and Lifestar Ambulance helped get the juvenile out of the vehicle into the ambulance. He was then taken to SSM Health St. Mary’s Hospital in Centralia.
Deputies believe the juvenile may have fallen asleep. They report he was mostly shaken up by the crash and appeared to just have a small laceration to his right knee.
The crash was reported at 10:16 on Saturday night.
