The St Anthony Lady Bulldogs are headed to the Class 1a State Volleyball Final Four after winning the Okawville Super Sectional last night over NCOE 25-22, 25-11. They advance to play on Friday at Redbird Arena in Normal against Galena. The other semifinal will see Hartsburg Emden taking on Cissna Park after their 3-set win over Windsor/Stew-Stras at Milford including a 28-26 decisive 3rd set.
Mater Dei is headed to the 2a state final four after their straight sets win over Pleasant Plains 25-12, 25-14 to win the Carlinville Super Sectional. They will play Rock Falls next Friday while Carmi won the Robinson Super Sectional over St Thomas More in 3-sets including a 25-18 decisive win and will take on Elmhurst IC Catholic.
Mascoutah lost their Super Sectional matchup to Lincoln at Taylorville in straight sets. The 3a Final Four will see St Ignatius College Prep taking on Lincoln and Wheaton St Francis plays Morton.
The 4a Final Four next weekend has Willowbrook and Lisle Benet Academy playing as well as Mother McAuley and Barrington.
