The Illinois Department of Transportation has announced that all lanes of U.S. 51 from U.S. 50 in Sandoval to the Jefferson County line (County Road 2400 North) south of Centralia will require intermittent daytime lane closures beginning, Thursday, November 2nd, through Friday, Nov. 10th.
The lane closures are necessary for the evaluation of pavement conditions.
Drivers are urged to reduce speed, be alert for changing conditions, obey all signage, and refrain from using mobile devices while approaching and traveling through the work zone
