Tonight is Sectional Championship night in the IHSA for prep volleyball. In Class 1a, St Anthony will play for the Nokomis title against Valmeyer. The winner will play in Friday’s Super Sectional at Okawville against the Crab Orchard champion featuring NCOE and Trico. Windsor/Stew-Stras looks to win their own Sectional crown at home when they host Cerro Gordo. The winner will play at Milford Supers against the Streator winner between Lexington and Cissna Park.
In 2a at Greenville, Breese Central will take on Breese Mater Dei for a spot in the Elite 8 at Carlinville against the champion from Pleasant Plains that will either be the hosts or Illini West. Fairfield and Carmi play at Pinckneyville with the winner advancing to Robinson to play the champ from St Joseph Ogden featuring Bismarck or St Thomas More.
In 3a, Freeburg will play the hosts at Mascoutah with a trip to Taylorville on the line against the winner at Springfield Southeast.
In 4a, Belleville West will play Normal West at Pekin. The winner will play at Normal Community against the Mother McAuley champion, either the hosts or Marist.
