A 39-year-old Salem woman has been arrested by the Southeastern Illinois Drug Task Force in connection with illegal drug distribution in the Salem area.
Kari Holstlaw of Miles Lane in Salem was picked up by drug task force agents in rural Louisville Tuesday morning without incident.
In addition to the Marion County warrant charging three counts of unlawful delivery of methamphetamine, Holstlaw was also arrested on outstanding Washington and Clinton County warrants.
This is the ninth arrest made in connection with an investigation where controlled drug buys were set up with confidential sources of the drug task force.
The Southeastern Illinois Drug Task Force is comprised of the Salem Police Department, Effingham County Sheriff’s Office, Robinson Police, Mt. Carmel Police and Illinois State Police. The investigation was a cooperative effort among the area police departments in an effort to curb drug usage and violence in the area.
