Jennifer L. Wallace, age 45 of Woodlawn, passed away at her home on Wednesday, October 23, 2024.
Jennifer was born in Breese on May 27, 1979, the daughter of David and Donna (Woltering) Buehler. She married Bobby Wallace in Louisiana on June 16, 2000, and he survives in Woodlawn.
In addition to her husband Bobby, Jennifer is also survived by her daughters – Allison and Carolyn Wallace; her step-daughter – Megan Alexander; her nieces and nephews – Autumn, Kailey, Landon, and Dawson Buehler, Jimmy and Miles Wallace, and Karsyn Harless; a brother – Jason Buehler (Jamie) and several nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
Jennifer was stationed in Korea while serving in the United States Army. Following her service, she worked at the Centralia Correctional Center and later retired as an educator at Big Muddy River Correctional Center. Jennifer enjoyed the great outdoors, especially deer hunting. She always looked forward to family outings, gatherings, and vacations. When planning her trips, a cruise or a stop at the beach was always on the itinerary.
A Funeral service will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Saturday, October 26, 2024, at Zieren Funeral Home, 1111 Clinton St. Carlyle, IL with Rev. Jason McIntosh, officiating. Interment will follow at St. Mary’s Cemetery in Carlyle. Visitation will be held at Zieren Funeral Home on Friday, October 25, 2024, from 4:00 – 8:00 PM and on Saturday, October 26, from 9:00 – 11:00 A.M. A Criminal Justice Walkthrough will be held at 4:30 on Friday evening.
