The prep cross country Regionals will be held today. Salem will run in the 2a Olney Regional run at Olney Central College. The girls race starts at 10am and the boys at 10:45. Salem joins area schools North Clay and Mount Vernon. The top team and individual qualifiers will advance to the Jacksonville Sectional next weekend with other advancers from the regionals at Highland which includes Breese Central, Centralia, Columbia and Freeburg as well as the Normal University Regional.
In 1a cross country regionals, Wesclin is the site for the girls race at 10 and boys at 11. That regional will include Mater Dei, Christ Our Rock, Roxana, Wood River and Woodlawn. Top qualifiers move on to next weekend’s Benton Sectional along with the regionals from Harrisburg and Chester. Odin will join Altamont at the Fairfield Regional trying to get to the Decatur St Teresa Sectionals. Joining regionals from Chrisman and Sullivan.
