Salem Police say they have recovered a car stolen in Jefferson County.
The car was located off an alley behind the 300 block of East Boone Street. Police were initially called to investigate a suspicious vehicle. They then determined the car had been stolen. It also reportedly had a stolen license plate taken from a business in Odin.
Police say a small amount of mail stolen from Kinmundy was found outside the vehicle. However, police are uncertain if the mail theft is related to the vehicle theft.
