There has been a change in time and location for the Little Egypt Festival 5K and Fun Run on Saturday.

The annual event sponsored by the Salem High School Drama Club and Cross Country Team has been moved to Bryan Memorial Park with a nine am start for the 5K run.

Drama Club Sponsor Drew Johnson says sign-up begins at 7:30 Saturday at the Aquatic Center parking lot.  If you sign up by the end of the day Monday at runsignup.com by following the link to the Little Egypt 5K you can pre-register at a discounted $25 cost and receive a t-shirt.  Starting Tuesday, the cost to run is $30.

Johnson says the route will be through Bryan Memorial Park, the Nature Trail and the roads around the park.   The Salem Emergency Management Agency members will provide assistance along the route.

Proceeds from the run are split between the drama club and cross country team.

The race was moved back to the park this year from the Little Egypt Festival Parade Route because of increased traffic on Route 37 and US 50 due to construction on Interstate 57.
