Kathryn “Kathy” Jean Talbert, 73, of Mount Vernon, Illinois, passed away on September 1, 2024, at White Oak Rehabilitation and Health Care Center in Mount Vernon. She was born January 25, 1951, in Saint Louis, Missouri to the late Richard J. and Dorothy (Manhart) Izard. Kathy married Ricky Dale Talbert on August 23, 1985, in Mount Vernon, Illinois.
In addition to her husband of thirty-nine years, Kathy is survived by her stepdaughter, Ricshon Spring Talbert of Pensacola, Florida; brother, Rick Izard of Mount Vernon; sister, Michelle Northey of Traverse City, Michigan; and nephews, Dylan Nichols of Mount Vernon, Matt Nichols and wife, Rugile and Saint Petersburg, Florida, and J.T. Northey of Traverse City, Michigan.
In addition to her parents, Kathy was preceded in death by her stepson, Nathaniel Dale Talbert.
Kathy worked at Byrd Watson as a Pharmacy Technician for many years. She was a member of Saint Mary Immaculate Conception Catholic Church and will be dearly missed.
A Visitation will be held Thursday, September 5, 2024, from 9:00 am to 11:00 am at Hughey Funeral Home in Mount Vernon, Illinois. A Funeral Service will begin at 11:00 am. Memorials may be made in Kathy’s honor to Saint Jude Children’s Hospital, Shriners Hospital for Children, or Jefferson County Animal Shelter.
